Paul Craine

Paul Craine is President and a founding partner of Synergistic Strategic Solutions (SSS) which provides targeted support to clients challenged by critical strategic issues and concerns. Paul and his partners at SSS have worked with many U.S. domestic and international clients in providing a wide array of services including sensitive investigations and other discreet client support.

Paul is a leading expert on issues of trans-national organized crime and illicit finance, and crisis management. He has over 35 years of experience in conducting and managing complex global investigations and operations with a distinguished law enforcement career with 27 years working as a Special Agent with the Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). During his career Paul had postings in Bogota, Colombia and Mexico City, culminating with him being ap pointed to the Department of Justice Senior Executive Service in 2012 and serving as the DEA Regional Director for North and Central America based out of the U.S. Embassy in Mexico.

In his career as a DEA Special Agent, Paul investigated and supervised complex international investigations across the globe, resulting in the capture and extradition to the United States for prosecution of some of the most violent and dangerous international criminals and fugitives. He regularly operated in hostile and dangerous environments, from the jungles of Colombia to the mountains of Afghanistan in pursuit of those who would do harm to the innocent.

Paul has received numerous awards and commendations for his work. These include the U.S. Attorney General’s Award for Investigative Excellence, the DEA Award of Honor and Distinguished Service, and the National Association of Police Officers “Top Cop” Award which included recognition at the White House in a ceremony led by President Obama and Vice President Biden.

Paul has testified before the U.S. Congress as an expert on trans-national organized crime and has been an expert speaker and presenter at international law enforcement conferences, as well as police and security forums.
